Coupon Workshop Time

Coupon Workshops

Have you been trying really hard to save, but can't quite get as much as you've seen on TV? Well this class will be just what you need. My goal in teaching is to make you feel like an expert when you leave. Couponing is not hard, if you know the "ins and outs".

Email me if you are interested in taking a class or hosting one.
                      GotCouponsBlog@yahoo.com

These coupon workshops are for the newbie as well as the expert. I cover a wide range of topics in about an hour and half. I have a booklet that I give the class as well as a stockpile price sheet. In just this little time you will be able to cut your grocery bill by at least 50%.

Here is the info on the class. The class lasts about an hour and a half. It is $15 a person. I have a 16 page booklet that I give everyone that comes. I talk about finding coupons, organizing to save time. stacking coupons, competitor coupons, the website I use (free), making a shopping list, stockpile price sheet, CVS and Walgreens, and much more. I save between 60-70% on my groceries every week here in Texas. It is my goal in the class to teach everyone to do the same. I also have free consultation after the class--to make sure you really get it.

I have a free coupon mini course at this site www.howtocoupon.net This can be used to wet everyone's appetite for the class.

Thanks,
Jamie

Just so you know--I do NOT have 40 years of toilet paper in my garage, nor do I ever intend to....

Kroger Mega Event

This event started Sunday in some areas, and will start Wednesday in others...so check your ad.

This isn't everything this week at Kroger, but these are the things I will buy with the Mega Event

My Kroger  (Fort Worth ARea) doubles up to 50 cents, and triples up to 39 cents. They will double the first 3 "like" coupons, after that it will be redeemed at face value.

If you have never done a Mega event you must be items in increments of ten. When you buy 10 items, they automatically take 50 cents off of each item in that group of ten.

Non Mega Event Item
Dial Hand soap for 88 cents
--Use .35/1 coupon from RP 8-14
--Makes it free (no overage on tripling of q's)

Mega Event Items
Chi-Chi's Salsa $1.49 ea
Use .50/1 coupon from SS 6-12
(Makes it .49 after double)

Spaghetti O's 49 cents
Use .50/5 printable
(Makes it .29 ea after double)

Mott's Apple Juice $1.99
Use $2/2 coupon from Safeway coupon book
(Makes it $1 ea)

Betty Crocker Cookie Mix $1.89
Use .50 peelie
(Makes it 89 cent after double)

Sunny D Juice 64 oz .99 cent
Use .25/1 from ss 5-15
(Makes it .24 cent after triple)

Heluva Dips $1.19
Use .50/1 printable
(Makes it .19 after double)

Suave Shampoo 79 cents
.50/2 from RP 8-14
(Makes it 29 cent ea after double)

Now, I have to work it out to make it increments of 10 and make sure I do separate transactions so that all of my coupons double, but it should be a good trip!!

Cheap Toilet Paper

When I first moved out to Texas 2 weeks ago, we had to go to Walmart to buys some "needs". On of which was toilet paper. My mom taught me that the best toilet paper (price wise) is Scott because it has 1000 sheets per roll. You can usually find it for 50 cents a roll.

Since it was a need and I couldn't wait for a sale I bought a pack of 4 rolls for $4! I was sick, you can imagine.

Well this week you can get it super cheap at CVS. With or without coupons it is a great deal.

The Gas Card Promotion this week Spend $30 get a $10 gas card.

12 pack Scott Toilet Paper 7.47.

Buy 4 packs of Toilet Paper
Buy 1 box of Cheeze-It Crackers (our total must be at least $30 before tax)

Total = $31.88

Use 4 $1 off coupons from SS 8-14

Pay OOP = $27.88
Get back a $10 gas card

Makes it $17.88 or $4.47 for 12 rolls or 37 cents a roll.

Without Coupons You would

Pay OOP= $31.88
Get back a $10 gas card

Makes it $21.88 or $5.47 for 12 rolls or 46 cents a roll

Plus free cheeze-its with either purchase!

So maybe you don't want 48 rolls of toilet paper at your house, you could go in with 3 other friends and only have 1 pack at your house!!

Couponing in Texas!

Well we are finally getting settled in up here/over here. Couponing will be a little different here. It looks like we will have to hit several stores each week instead of just Publix like in Florida. But here is a taste of what can be done.
We got $6 boxes of cereal for $1.55 each
20 boxes of Hamburger Helper for 38 cents each
3 cans of Seattles Best Coffee for Free
And 1 Bottle of Chocolate Milk for free.

This was done at CVS (Coffee) and everything else was done at Brookshires.

The cereal was on sale for $2.50. IF you buy 6 boxes you get $3 off making it $2 ea. I then printed a coupon for $1/3 (twice) which made it $10 for 6 boxes. Then I had a coupon from the newspaper that said said $2 on milk when you buy 5 boxes of cereal. So the Chocolate milk was only $1.29 making it .71 cents overage. So I got the cereal $9.30 for 6 boxes.

Here at the Missions Training School I am buying a bunch extra of things so that all of the families can partake of the great deals. So don't worry--I don't plan to eat 20 boxes of HH by myself!

Coupon Maid Service

Have you seen it? People getting paid to shop! It is amazing. I can read your mind now, “I’d just be happy to get two for almost nothing. I don’t need 1,000.” This new service I have developed is for those who don’t have time to clip coupons, or find it too much of a hassle.

Couponing can take hours of time each week, and can be a big headache if you don’t know what you are doing. Why not let the experts who have taken years to study how this is done do it for you. A lot of people start couponing with great intentions, but soon find out it is a little harder than it looks.

·        *  Each week I will mail you a shopping list for your store with matching coupons so you can get incredible deals without ANY hassle.
·        *  You will get the same deals you have seen on the “Extreme Couponing” show, without the excess.
·          * You can expect to get each product for more than 60% off original price!
·         * The savings you receive each month will easily  pay for the small weekly fee.
·         * For $15 a week you will receive coupons and a shopping list so that you never miss a deal again.
·         * No work for you, open your mailbox and go shopping.
·         * This is like the easy button for couponing!
·         * Why spend hours each week when you can just have it done for you.
·         * Check out the Price list to see what savings you can expect to see.
·         * Don’t have room for a huge stockpile? This service provides the minimum amount need to purchase to get the deal. No need to store cereal under your bed.
·        *  Imagine all of your food, cleaning products, toiletries, & personal products for practically nothing.

Ground Beef $1.25 a lb!!!

This morning I was on my way to WinnDixie to buy some of the Ground Beef for $2.49 a lb, but I stopped at Sweetbay first to buy a ham for Sunday's dinner. While at Sweetbay I was just checking out the meat prices.

I found a sign for an unadvertised deal on ground beef for $1.49 a lb.  Which is a great deal! Anything under $2 for ground beef is a good deal.

Sweetbay takes competitor coupons, and there was a WinnDixie coupon in the ad this week for $5 off your next purchase of $30.

So I bought $30 worth of ground beef and used my $5 off coupon. I was able to get about 21 pounds for $25 making it about $1.25 a lb. Time to stock up. If I were you and you already had a good stockpile, I would take a break from shopping and buy your budget of ground beef. This is the first time in 3 years I have seen it this low. Buy as much as you can.

New Coupon Book

I have finished my coupon book. This book will teach you everything you need to know about using coupons to save thousands of dollars. Last year I saved almost $9000 on groceries, this book has all the secrets.

Check it out.

www.howtocoupon.net

Kraft Mayo for 67 cents a jar

Time to stock up on Mayo!

At CVS this coming week they have a $10 gas card promotion. Buy $30 worth of certain products get $10 in a gas card. Since we all use gas, let's consider this as $10 off of our purchase.

Kraft 30oz Mayo is part of the deal for $2.50. This coming Sunday a $1.00 coupon should be coming out. Making this $1.50 for Mayo which is a good price.

But this is where it gets good.

If we buy 12 jars of Mayo to equal $30 before coupons we will get the $10 gas card.

So Buy 12 Jars of Kraft Mayo
Use (12) $1.00 Coupons
Total Out of Pocket $18.

But you also get a $10 gas card, which is like paying only $8 for 12 jars of Mayo making them 67 cents a piece. That's a great deal.

Now, I know what you are thinking. I wouldn't use 12 jars of Mayo in a year let alone the three months I'm supposed to stock up for. Well, I bet you could find a few friends to go in it with you. If the four of you did this you would each get 3 jars which would be perfect to stock up on.

The other problem I foresee is that they prob won't have 12 jars. You can go to different CVS stores and buy 1 here, 3 there, and 2 here, and so on and so forth as long as you get the 12 within the week. Or you could get a rain check which never expires allowing you to do it even after this week.

New Coupon Book Coming Soon

I am almost finished writing a book about coupons. Almost everything you would learn in a class is included in this book. My goal is for someone who knows practically nothing about coupons to be able to pick it up and easily learn how to save tons of money every week on their grocery bill.

This is where I need some help.

The book is about 45 pages long. I need someone who doesn't know a lot about coupons, but would like to learn, to read it and let me know what they think. It's still a little rough, but I want to know if I have accomplished my goal. I also would like someone who could do this in just a few days.

I'm looking for one to three people to do this and give me their feedback on it.

If this is something that interests you please email me at gotcouponsblog@yahoo.com and tell me why you think you are the perfect person to do this.

Thanks ahead of time.

Diaper Deal for Everyone!

Diaper Deal of the Century thanks to a good friend!

I've been super excited about my diaper deals at Publix, but I don't get them all the time so when it does come around I stockpile and we have tons of them laying around, but this is a deal all the time without wondering if my diapers will last until the next sale. But the diapers I found with coupons are the same price as the ones through Amazon all the time, without coupons! Go figure!

Since, I am moving to Texas, I've been a little worried that I wouldn't be able to find as many deals on diapers since they don't have a Publix in TX. But with this they will just ship it to your house for free!

Go here to sign up for Amazon Mom. With that I found Luvs diapers on sale (all the time) for 11 cents a piece for size 3 and 13 cents a piece for size 4...that's equivalent to $10 and $11 dollars for a box of diapers. They ship to you for free either once a month or every other month!

Extreme Couponing

Extreme Couponing or Extreme Hoarding?

Extreme couponing or extreme hoarding? That is the true question. If you happened to see the new show TLC Extreme Couponing, you know exactly what I am talking about. I thought it was wonderful when I saw one man buy over 1,000 boxes of cereal to donate to a local food bank, but then I saw enough deodorant in his stockpile to last him the next 150 years. What about the 40 year supply of toilet paper? Was the cereal just a ploy to distract us into thinking he isn’t crazy after all? I am not the judge.
I have to admit that I use coupons like crazy in my town. In fact, I am known as the Coupon Lady at my local Publix. I even teach classes on how to use coupons. I have also been known to buy 40 boxes of pasta at one time. However, if you look at my stockpile you will only find about six. The reason is that I give away the stuff I don’t need. When I first started couponing almost two years ago, I got caught up in the excitement. I had 20 deodorants in my closet just for my husband. I must have had 10 shampoos and 20 boxes of cereal. When I started cleaning under the bed only so I could have another place to store things, I decided that something was wrong. I soon realized that the same stuff was going to go on sale over and over again. I didn’t need 40 years’ worth, I only needed 3 months’ worth. So what did I do?
Around that time, we had a group of college guys stay at our house for a night. I over heard one of them say that he needed deodorant. I got so excited that I grabbed enough bottles for each one. They were happy. I was even happier when I told them I had gotten it for free. It wasn’t long before one asked for shampoo, and another for shaving cream. Soon I had given away at least 15 items. It was so exhilarating to be able to help them out, especially when it didn’t cost me much at all.
So what can you do? First, I recommend learning how to use coupons so that you can save money on groceries, but then I recommend giving something away. Ok, so you don’t think a stick of deodorant is a great gift. How about that coat you bought last year and only wore twice or the bicycle you keep promising your wife you are going to use? We all have something that we hoard. To one person it may be deodorant, to another it may be shoes. I don’t think hoarding is having an over abundance of something, but simply having something you aren’t going to use and just keeping it to yourself.
There are people on your street who are in need of things. They will not come up and ask for it, but with a watchful eye, you will start to notice. In our county, we have several places that help people on a daily basis. If you use coupons and have a 20-year supply of soup, decide today is the day you are going to let only lint and dirty socks occupy the space under your bed. Then take a trip to the Potter’s House, Habitat for Humanity, or Manna Ministries. To get rid of some clothes or shoes you won’t ever fit back into or that will be out of style by the time you do, why not try the Salvation Army, Nu Hope, or the Arc. Look around and give like it is going out of style. You might just find you like it.

Free Peter Pan Peanut Butter

Peter Pan Peanut Butter is BOGO this week at Publix for $1.98.
Go to http://www.childhungerendshere.com/
They have a place to  enter a code from a product you purchased. At first I thougth it would be a different code for each item but it is the SAME code on everything. For the Mega items if you buy 10 you get $5 back--doesn't have to be 10 of the same thing, just 10 of any of the Mega...I think--hehe. So you want to make sure you buy in increments of 10. The prices I give will be after the $5 comes off...

My Lap Top Story

Last week I was checking out at the grocery store and met a man who said he would buy me a laptop if I would shop for him. I said sure, not really expecting him to call....4 days later he did call, not with "Are you serious? How are we going to work this out?" but with "I bought you a laptop, when can we meet?"

We met the next day and he said "All I want from you is for you to teach my wife and two daughters how to do this". Amazing! I said no problem!

God truly gives us the desires of our heart! It was a brand new in the box unwrapped laptop! Works great!
